Admissions

***We have paused admissions for the MA Public Affairs Program***

Students with a wide variety of undergraduate majors are admitted to the Public Affairs program.

Applicants should submit a completed online application, and should request three letters of recommendation from faculty members attesting to their academic abilities. Applicants may substitute one academic letter with a letter that speaks to relevant experience in an internship, public service, professional work environment, or political campaign. Criteria generally include a minimum GPA of 3.0 for the last two years of undergraduate work, and a minimum combined GRE verbal and quantitative score of 300. The Department actively seeks applicants from qualified female and minority candidates.

Please visit the Department page which contains more information on applying to graduate programs in Political Science. You may apply online or download a paper copy of the application materials. Applications for MA programs are due by March 15.  We will continue to review applications after that date on a rolling basis should space permit. International students (who are not permanent residents of the U.S.) must complete their applications by February 1.

Pursuant to Florida Statute, your application requires inclusion of all post-high school education and employment, as well as information about ongoing international affiliations and research funding. Please ensure this information is included on your curriculum vitae (CV) or résumé.
