Admissions

Students with a wide variety of undergraduate majors are admitted to the Public Affairs program. Admission is normally restricted to the fall semester.

Applicants should submit a completed application to the university admissions office and should have three letters of recommendation sent directly to the Department of Political Science. Criteria generally include a minimum GPA of 3.0 for the last two years of undergraduate work, and a minimum combined GRE verbal and quantitative score of 1050. The Department actively seeks applicants from qualified female and minority candidates.

Applications for MA programs are due by March 15. International students (who are not permanent residents of the U.S.) must complete their applications by February 1.
